EMS: 5 injured, including 2 minors, in car wreck on southeastern Travis County

6:07 p.m. update: A man in his 30s was taken on a helicopter to South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said Monday evening.

Two children, one with serious injuries and one with potentially serious injuries, were taken on the second helicopter to Dell Children’s Medical Center, officials said.

Two other people were injured in the crash, officials said. A teen with minor injuries was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center by ambulance, and a woman refused to be taken to the ER, officials said.

Earlier: Five people were injured, including one adult and two minors, in a multi-vehicle crash in southeastern Travis County, Austin-Travis County EMS said Monday afternoon.

Two STAR Flight helicopters and multiple EMS units responded at 5 p.m. to the wreck on the 1900 block of McAngus Road with multiple patients.

Medics issued a trauma alert for three of the patients, officials said. The other two had minor injuries, EMS said.

One helicopter is taking the adult patient to South Austin Medical Center while the two minors were flown to Dell’s Children Medical Center. The other two patients are still being treated at the scene, EMS said.
